2009 Cheque Presentation

2 December 2009
Picture
2009 saw the third men's 6-a-side football tournament, and a fundraising party, both held raising money for the Oxford Children's Hospital.

The tournament, held for the second year at Oxford City Football Club, saw 29 teams take part and raised £4,988 for the Children's Hospital, whilst £164.15 was added to the hospital funds through the share of a fundraising party held in September 2009 to celebrate Play2Give's most successful year of fundraising. SpecialEffect, the award-winning gamers' charity, helping people with disabilities, based in West Oxfordshire, also received £152, from the rest of the funds raised by the party held at the Bowyer Arms in Radley.  In December 2009, the cheques were handed over to representatives for both charities in a ceremony at the Children's Hospital.
