2014 Cheque Presentation to CHOX

2 December 2014
Picture
2014 saw the year that was the most record breaking in terms of fundraising for Play2Give as a whole, and in particular with the kids football tournament in July raising the most ever for our football tournaments - £7,209!

2014 was such a busy year in terms of many events held, and the year got to a fantastic start with the fourth fundraising party at The Marlborough Club, (which saw our Andrew Baker become a skinhead), and was sponsored by Johnsons Cars Oxford and supported by Didcot Rugby Club.  Not only did the Children's Hospital benefit from an overall £8,590.29 but our grand total raised this year for our charities amounted to £9,838.81!

This saw not just the Hospital but also the Paediatric Eye Fund at the John Radcliffe (our new chosen co-charity for 2014) receive £1,101.71 throughout the year, and Headway Oxfordshire with over £146, raised through fundraising at Sainsbury's in Didcot.
This was the year that we had ever raised the most amount of funds donated to charities, and was a record year that also saw the Oxford Children's Hospital give us the opportunity to sponsor a room on the Melanie's teenage ward at the Children's Hospital - where we have to raise a total of £40,000 to have a plaque on the door.  We are over halfway towards this goal, with over £26,590 donated to date to the hospital.

All the pictures from this year's cheque presentation, which took place in the Children's Hospital Atrium, on December 2nd, can be seen below, of which Ross Downes, representing the Paediatric Eye Fund, also received their whopping big cheque.

A very big thank-you to each and every person who has supported us in some way in 2014 - we really value your generosity and support!
