Andrew Baker's Head Shave

'Hair today, gone tomorrow...!' That was literally the case for Play2Give's very own Andrew Baker who encountered his very own hair-raising experience on the night of February 22nd 2014!
As part of the Play2Give Fundraising Party , which was held to raise money for the Oxford Children's Hospital (CHOX) and the Paediatric Eye Fund (PEF), Andrew was dragged into the chair and braved a bald feat - he said 'goodbye' to his hair as a very lovely lady hairdresser go to work and shaved off his barnet to raise funds for the two charities, and has helped the fundraising evening's grand total to over a healthy and record-breaking £1,000+ !!
Andrew, who aimed to raise £250 in total (60% for Chox and 40% for PEF) and an additional £50 for Headway Oxfordshire, was celebrating achieving his 10-year of fundraising support for the Oxford Children's Hospital which he accomplished in 2013, at the evening of entertainment which was part the reason behind becoming scalped.
Andrew has raised around £700 for all 3 charities, close to his heart - thank you to everyone who has supported him!!
This fun, entertainment evening also celebrated the success of Play2Give over the past six years. The evening organised by both Andrew and fellow friend and supporter Ross Downes (founder-volunteer of PEF) was a record breaker, as the evening raised the most money ever than any other previous Play2Give night ever held over the years. Over £1,810 was raised in total.
Andrew braved the cold and hilarity live on the night in a packed room at the Marlborough Club in Didcot, and now sports a very cool and well-suited skinhead. Andrew was first in the chair on the dancefloor and was followed by several other chaps who also raised money though sponsored head shaves.
