Between the Local and the Global

Important Announcement:
Our 2017 '10 in 10' fundraising campaign was hugely successful.  Thanks to your incredible support, we raised almost double our target to support people struggling with health issues at Oxford Children's Hospital and Headway Oxfordshire.

In light of that success, we were excited to announce a new fundraising initiative:'Between the Local and the Global'.

This year we donated a portion of our fundraising efforts to fund the treatment of 1000 people in Africa through the Schistosomiasis Control Initiative (co-ordinated by Imperial College London).
The expected cost of this is in the region of £300. Our 'SCI Fund' will be used to "treat children and at risk adults for schistosomiasis and soil transmitted helminths (STH - whipworm, hookworm, roundworm), preventing anaemia, impaired growth and development in children and the development of life-threatening conditions of bladder cancer, kidney malfunction or liver and spleen damage."
The money we raise will literally change the lives of a thousand people, especially children, as has our work in over a decade done to countless Oxfordshire charities. We are all about changing, transforming and saving lives!

This is a new direction for us here at P2G because our focus has always been on, and continues to be, as it always will, local charities.
The vast majority of our fundraising will still be directed to Oxford Children's Hospital and Headway Oxfordshire.  We are immensely proud of the work that these local organisations we support do, and we will continue fundraising for them.

However, at heart of P2G is a belief in raising money to provide the best medical treatment for all who need it, and it is because of that ethos that we are incredibly proud to have undertook this initiative in 2018. This is a project close to our hearts, especially as one of our team has personally funded the treatment of over 600 people over the past 2 years. We were pleased to successfully donate in July 2018 £300 to the SCI fund!

We thank you for your continued support - every penny we receive makes a real difference!
