Celebrity physic, and famous for his renowned spoon-bending, Uri Gellar (also well known for his stint in the Australian outback in TV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here), has shown his support for Play2Give.

Play2Give's Andrew, was invited by the star to his Berkshire-based pad on a Sunday in May, along with Andrew's friend and fellow event helper, Claire Hughes, who linked up the connection of support, to meet Uri himself and to pick up a donation for July's charity football tournament.

Uri, who was best friends to the late Michael Jackson, donated his very last in existence limited edition glass crystal boxed set from his very own 'Uri Gellar collection', of which the donation included a golden bent spoon, and, of which the star wished for the prize to be auctioned, as part of the event for Oxford Children's Hospital.

Uri even grabbed an ordinary everyday kitchen tea spoon upon Andrew and Claire's fleeting appearance, bent it in full view (and its proven, Mr Gellar really can bend spoons!!) and signed it especially for Andrew, wishing him all the very best for his future fund raising, and health in general. Uri was unfortunately unable to make the event due to other commitments, but has invited Andrew and Claire back for a chat and tea in the very near future.

Andrew is pictured above with Uri and the donated auction-lot, which in the end went for £50 in the silent auction on July 15th's big football fundraiser.

You can visit Uri's website here.
