Charity Football Tournament - Oxford City Football Club
Sunday July 3rd 2016
Charity Football Tournament 2016 Generously Sponsored By

Play2Give relived its adults football tournament after a 7 year break with mainly companies locally taking part after much interest all in the emphasis of raising money for charity in the process.
The event on Sunday July 3rd raised money for the Oxford Children's Hospital and Headway Oxfordshire and all the fun at Oxford City Football Club also featured music from Radio Cherwell. Our main sponsor Breckon & Breckon ran a coconut shy adding a further £53 into the pot whilst a bouncy castle was also provided very generously by PLD Entertainment and £50 raised.
All proceeds supports the poorliest of children in the Oxford hospitals and those living with acquired brain injuries across the county. Each and every pound raised makes a very real difference to these tens of thousands of young patients and brain injury survivors and their carers. So far over £2,424 has been raised.... and there is still more proceeds to come in!
With huge thanks to our sponsors, Breckon & Breckon and Newbury Building Society for financially making this event possible, as well as our wonderful venue and hosts Oxford City Football Club, Radio Cherwell for the hosting all day long, to our seven super referees, all the supporters, and of course the 12 fantastic teams.
In fourth placed was Bayer Neverlosen - a team of accountants from The M Group in Oxford, the Headway charity team came a close third whilst the top two teams that contested the final was BBK against Barton Old Boys, with Barton Old Boys lifting The P2G Cup in what was a closely fought final.
HUGE THANKS TO ALL THE 12 TEAMS WHO TOOK PART, ROLL OF HONOUR AS FOLLOWS:-
Oxford Mail: High scoring fundraisers took to the pitch for annual tournament
Breckon & Breckon in the community: Play 2 Give 2016
Headway Oxfordshire: It all kicked off at the Play2Give football tournament
