Could your workplace or company aid Play2Give and change, transform and save lives in the process?
Many organisations in these current economic times value and appreciate the importance of good corporate social responsibility - team building, community engagement, recruitment and employee involvement and even volunteering opportunities by supporting more local, closer to home and smaller charities.

Play2Give is a very unique and small fundraising organisation in that it is run entirely by volunteers, and based locally in Didcot raising money, awareness and support for a number of Oxfordshire charities, and is well regarded for the fact that it is run by an inspiring and enterprising young man, Andrew Baker BCAv who founded this very organisation in 2007, who won a Youth Enterprise Award in the Oxfordshire Awards 2013 in recognition of his hard work and this hard work has only gone on to increase P2G as a well respected, much loved and growing organisation that is is of today earning praise from the Prime Minister in early 2020.

In the last few years alone, as P2G has grown into a voluntary fundraising organisation, we have received incredible support from a number of Oxfordshire companies - all helping us to have raised and donated out over £230,000 to local causes whether financially or through gifts received in toy appeals at Christmas to make a difference. Companies from local supermarkets like Sainsbury's to Tesco in Didcot, estate agents such as Breckon & Breckon and James Gesner, to Newbury Building Society, Class Act Teaching Services, Thompson & Terry Recruitment, Canon Packing & Logistics, Changing Lives, Go Green Taxis, Boundary Park, Soha Housing, Delicious Events, Oxford Vapours, Time 2 Bounce and Angels Performing Arts, have all supported our work whether its in sponsoring events, to adopting us as their charity for a year to making donations or raising money - and we are very grateful to each and every one of these and many many others!

We are in need of continued support financially from companies and organisations to keep our wonderful work and our fundraising organisation going - as this means that the more corporate support we receive, the more that we raise can continue to go to the charities we help all year round, so that we can continue to change, transform and save even more lives.
Even spreading the word at your workplace about us and what we do really does help - in late 2018 we re-branded with a brand new logo, we have new promotional leaflets, new marketing materials, new charity pots and buckets, and are in the process of seeking to set up a new email address and looking into possibly becoming a registered charity in the future - we continue to grow and expand!

Inspiring Founder!
Our founder is pretty remarkable himself - and he is an award winner! We was created initially as a football tournament to raise funds for charity, set up in September 2007 by Didcot's very own community champion, Andrew Baker BCAv. Andy, who has even been to the Palace of Westminster and honoured with a national British Citizen Award for volunteering and charitable giving and more recently an honour from the Prime Minister in tribute to his remarkable work, where he has raised over £245,000 to date! He is amazing. He was born with a brain injury, and underwent treatment throughout childhood including brain surgery aged 12 following a further head injury sustained aged 8. It was due to having his life saved twice over by Oxford medics that inspired Andy to set up P2G after beginning a mission to raise money aged 14 in 2003. We think he is a true champion in fundraising, with a big heart and a passion to help others, despite living with a chronic life-long health condition, who has a natural gift for driving others to get involved in his endeavours.

We are asking for your continued help. It doesn't matter if you work for or are a small local company to a large national business with a local branch because every donation we receive or every offer of support in a helping hand financially means that we can continue to provide invaluable and vital support and fundraise to help local people and local charities in need. BUT, we can only continue to do this and continue our important work with the continued generosity of financial and corporate donors to enable us to continue to grow, survive and thrive.

Your company could help us by:
  • Making Play2Give your 'charity of the year'
  • Running or taking part in a sponsored challenge / event - half marathons, Movember, skydives or walks etc
  • Naming Play2Give as a charity in your payroll giving scheme
  • Offering to match-fund what you raise
  • Running fun events like the simple cakes sales, dress-down days, or bingo nights for example.
  • Having a Play2Give collection pot on reception, in your cafe, shop, in your pub on the bar, to elsewhere - every penny counts and soon adds up!

If your company has its charitable aid foundation, as many nowadays, why not consider supporting us through that? If you, your friends or your relatives work for a business perhaps P2G can be considered in any of the above ways, or other ways? Please also share and spread this, as you may know of others who could help - and at P2G we love networking!

Please contact us for a chat about ways that you may be able to help, we always love to hear from you and making new relationships and new friends.

You can also follow us on social media - Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
