Football Match 2014

14 September 2014
Picture
The very first Play2Give football match was held in September 2014 kindly hosted by Didcot Town Football Club.

This was a fundraiser in collaboration with Sainsbury's Didcot.  Sainsbury's Didcot adopted Play2Give as their 'Fundraising Partner of the Year' in July, 2014 and this football match launched the partnership.  A Sainsbury's Stars staff team took on the Play2Give Allstars which was won 20-1 by P2G.  The match raised £242.47 and will benefit the Oxford Children's Hospital, Headway Oxfordshire and the JR Paediatric  Eye Fund.  Even the town's mascot Chipper the Squirrel popped along to join in the fun.

The P2G Cup was sponsored by CK Patel, Consultant Opthalmologist at the Oxford Eye Hospital and was awarded to P2G Allstars in the bar afterwards.
