Team Play2Give Conquers the OX5RUN 2014
Andrew's Play2Givers Are a Fab 5!

The 2014 Play2Give team
Raising Big Smiles By Running Five Miles
Every March the Oxford Mail OX5RUN is held as the annual big fundraiser of the year for the Oxford Children's Hospital.
This fantastic 5-mile fun run takes place in the beautiful grounds of Blenheim Palace, and every year raises tens of thousands of pounds for children's causes across the hospital.
This year, 2014 was a record run with 1,450 registered for the OX5 Run just days before - smashing all records and is on course to hopefully set a new figure raised for this annual run by a hopeful £100,000!! In 2013, the run on a bitterly freezing Sunday morning broke records and raised £98,000 for the Children's Hospital charity. But, this years event on March 30th - once again contested with a Play2Give team included - was the biggest ever in its 12-year history!
Play2Give's team of 5 made up of friends and relatives of our Andrew Baker were amongst the 1,200 and a staggering number of teams who pounded the Blenheim Palace grounds. Last year Andrew's Play2Givers raised over £3,000 as a combined team effort between 7 runners! In 2014, it is estimated the Play2Givers team have raised around £550!!!
Huge thank you to the Play2Give team all 5 of them who all completed the run by 1 hour and 11 minutes, with Andrew's two nephews being the most speedy of all team members with James (below) finishing in a fantastic 37 minutes without much training build-up and his first ever OX5Run!! Elaine Childs, Rob Bailey-Day, Patrick Mills, James Churchward and Thomas Churchward were the fabulous five representing Team Play2Give this year. Well done guys for a tremendous effort!
