Thank you to two Oxford brothers, Stuart and Matthew Crook, who both have signed up to support the Oxford Children's Hospital in Play2Give's name. Both their children have been treated by the medics at the Children's Hospital and are taking part to say 'thank-you'.
They pledged to raise £400 between them, and are now at nearly £700!! They are supporting the Children's Hospital and after many years of running for pleasure, they decided to put themselves through some pain and raise money to repay a place so close to their hearts.
They are also inspired by the many children who are treated each day at the hospital, such as friend Dale Harris whose daughter Mya has been treated since she was born 11 years ago for Spina Bifida and has had 30 operations.
Matt's daughter Ava has been cared for over past two years for Infantile Haemangioma, and although her condition is relatively common, and easily treatable, they consider themselves extremely fortunate to live so close to our local Children's Hospital, whilst Stuart's son Jacob was cared for at CHOX when he was a small baby.
