Oxford Half Marathon 2016

Sunday 9 October 2016
We will have two wonderful running men taking on this gruelling 13.1-mile half marathon raising funds to support Play2Give's fundraising for the Oxford Children's Hospital.
In 2014, two fantastic supporters of Play2Give, Stuart Crook and Matthew Crook, both Oxford brothers, ran this gruelling marathon. The atmosphere was buzzing as thousands of people lined up at the Kassam Stadium (home of Oxford United), waiting for Sir Roger Bannister to sound the starting horn. Between them Stuart and Matt raised £680 for Oxford Children's Hospital inspired by Play2Give, and were joined by cheerleaders along the way and wore brilliant blue running tees (supplied by our friends at Elmer Cotton sports shop in the city centre).

Famed for its university and stunning architecture, the city of Oxford will once again open its streets to thousands of runners taking on this mighty challenge.
We are delighted to have Matthew Hambridge, from Witney, and Matt Ponting, from Bicester, taking on the Oxford Half this year to support our £40,000 fundraising goal for the Children's Hospital. Between them, they hope to raise up to £400 in sponsorship from their supporters.
