Play2Give Party: 8th April 2016
Didcot Town Football Club
Our sixth fundraising evening was a great success with a room of around 80 guests having enjoyed an entertaining evening of fun, music and entertainment including with a hilarious 2-minute doughnut eating contest raising funds for a brain injury support charity.
The evening, sponsored by Tom Houseman Heating and Plumbing, with a fabulous disco from Utopia, raised a new record with over £807 raised for Headway Oxfordshire.
Many thanks to Tom Houseman, Didcot Town Football Club and to Greggs for the support as well as attendees, supporters and event helpers.

Charity Football Match 2016: 19th March 2016
Oxford City Football Club
Our second annual charity match saw two footballing teams come together to enjoy a fun filled and friendly 90-minute game.
The P2G Stars squad took on the Headway Heroes charity side in the match at Oxford City Football Club on a cold Saturday evening in March. The match raised £157.32 through players donations. Proceeds were split between the Oxford Children's Hospital and Headway Oxfordshire.
Huge thanks to Oxford City Football Club for hosting and to all the players who took part.

Superheroes Spinathon: 19th September 2015
Willowbrook Leisure Centre Didcot
Huge Thanks to Willowbrook/Soll Leisure for organising this very fun 6-hour endurance 'Superheroes themed Spinathon' for Play2Give which supported fundraising for Oxford Children's Hospital and Headway Oxfordshire.
As well as competitors taking part in the heat of non stop spin bikes there was also a raffle cakes sale and fun for the kids with a bouncy castle.
The event raised a total £383.57 - over £191 each for both charities.

Our very first family fun day run in partnership with Kidactive was a great success - and we have plans to make this regular events!
The day included face painting, bouncy castle, dance sessions, sensory games, monkey music, raffle and stalls.

Our seventh football tournament for the Oxford Children's Hospital was another scoring success. 19 boys teams took part in this contest at Oxford City Football Club which looks set to have raised over £5,000 for hospital funds. The Ploddering Play2Givers take on Oxford Fun Run 2015: 9th May 2015

Andrew Baker, Paul Tucker and Patrick Mills took part in the Oxford 5k Fun Run this year raising funds for the Oxford Children's Hospital and Headway Oxfordshire on a beautifully dry sunny May morning.
The tremendous trio who took it in turns to tackle it round the course via wheelbarrow raised £160 between them!

Our tremendous team of ten took part in the Monster Race 2015 at the stunning grounds of Cornbury Park, west Oxfordshire, amongst over 1,300 other participants in this muddy fun obstacle race, which involved crawling through barbed wire, climbing, running through an iced cold lake and getting very very dirty. The Play2Givers raised over a tremendous £1,200 - which will be shared between Oxford Children's Hospital, Headway Oxfordshire and the John Radcliffe Paediatric Eye Fund.

Sainsbury's Super BIG Shave Day: 11th April 2015

Three of the counters workers at Didcot's Sainsbury's had their heads shaved in a fun afternoon of fundraising outside the front of the store to support Play2Give.
The store supports Play2Give for 2014-15 as their local charity partner of the year, and the three chaps - Luke Norris, Chris Ewing and Ben Shaw - all became bald as they were sheared by two of the store's checkout assistants, which was an event organised by team leader in training Luke, in a hope to add £200 into the store's grand total of the year.

An Evening of Play2Giving 4 Entertaining 2015: 21st February 2015

This was the fifth fundraising party held and was host by Didcot Town Football Club and sponsored by Johnsons Cars Oxford to raise funds for the Oxford Paediatric Eye Fund and Headway Oxfordshire. The evening raised a grand £572.40, and included a fantastic disco, a hilarious chilli-eating contest and a spectacular fireworks display sponsored and provided by Illusion Fireworks helping add £286.20 to both charities.

A cold February Sunday afternoon saw the very first Sainsbury's Sponsored Stroll take place, organised by the supermarket, to raise funds for Play2Give as part of their year of support after choosing us as their 2014-15 local charity partner. A day of football fun, with the sixth tournament, contested by 18 boys teams, was a resounding success supporting the Oxford Children's Hospital.
With Jack FM bringing music, our legendary raffle, two Oxford United players, some mucky dip messy fun and a life sized ted, this years event was the best yet.

Art Haus Kids Activity Week: 2nd-8th June 2014

Art Haus Club, hosted by Natalie Bright, presented its first ever Kids Activity Week from the 2nd-8th June, including a super duper raffle in support of Play2Give, and with over 20 prizes raised £150 for the Oxford Children's Hospital, the Oxford Paediatric Eye Fund and Headway Oxfordshire.
Huge thank you to Natalie for organising the entire week, and to everyone who supported - from the parents to the Wantage shops who sold raffle tickets.

The annual 5-miler in support of the Oxford Children's Hospital, in its 12th year, was the biggest fun run to date for the hospital and saw 1,200 runners compete, with 5 fabulous Play2Give supporters making up our team this year. Read more

Play2Give and Didcot Rugby Club teamed up to host a fun evening of entertainment, kindly sponsored by Johnsons Cars Oxford.
Supporting the Oxford Children's Hospital and the John Radcliffe Paediatric Eye Fund, this event broke all previous records for any Play2Give night and raised over £1,700 in total.
With Unusual Suspects as our 4-man band, a fantastic disco, huge raffle, drinks, nibbles and even head shaving and waxes, including our own Andrew Baker who became scalped.

Mark Lygo's Head & Beard Shave: 6th March 2013
Oxford Town Hall

Thank you to Oxford City Councillor, Mark Lygo, left, who had all his hair and beard shaved off at Oxford Town Hall on March 6th. He was supporting the Children's Hospital after being inspired by Play2Give's Andrew Baker (who he met at the Oxfordshire Youth Awards in February) as well as Mya Harris. Mark aimed to raise £1,000, and through also running the OX5 Run a few days later.

Charity Celebratory Night: 22nd September 2012
Abingdon United Football Club

This special evening was held, raising money for three charities together with celebrating Play2Give's 5th birthday. Organised by supporters Alison Stone and Alison Russell alongside Andrew, the trio are pictured, left, after a triumph packed out evening. The charities all received £170 from the fundraising party which raised £510. Sponsored by Thompson Garden Services & JK Garden Maintenance Ltd
