Easter Egg Appeal 2023

Thank you to everyone who helped us to spread smiles and joy this Easter by donating an egg to bring some cheer to poorly children in hospital and those less fortunate and vulnerable.

Our seasonal spring campaign was back – and this year our Easter Appeal smashed all records and was the biggest and best yet!

Delivering Easter Eggs from our 2022 campaign

In 2023, we collected a record 600 and more Easter eggs which was given out to children in hospital, children and siblings in our local Oxford children’s hospice and other children less fortunate.

In total across three campaigns we have collected and given out around over 1,280 eggs and Easter treats, with our very first appeal held in conjunction with Pure Gym Didcot in 2020 seeing over 200 eggs passed to families in need through the Didcot Foodbank.

Over 1,280 Easter eggs given out since 2020

We want to again this year be able to spread cheer, joy and smiles this Easter by gathering as many chocolate eggs and treats as we can to give to Oxford Children’s Hospital, the siblings and families staying in the neonatal care unit at the JR through SSNAP, Helen & Douglas House and Barnardo’s Viking House, amongst others.

Its really easy to donate: Simply add an egg big or small to your shopping, drop into one of our collection points (see below) and donate by March 31st or you can contribute with a financial donation online which will go towards purchasing eggs.

Big hearted gym members donate 511 eggs

Even fitness fanatics have big hearts, and they sure do as 511 Easter eggs have been donated by gym members since 2020.

Pure Gym Didcot – who have supported us as their chosen local charity since their opening in November 2019 – have been collecting Easter eggs since we first launched the drive in 2020. This year, Pure Gym in Newbury also joined forces and both gyms combined helped collect an amazing 172 as part of the 630 donated and distributed.

From dance schools, to sports parks, to shops and gyms, everyone are eggscellent

Our Easter egg campaigns have received such eggscellent generosity and even children’s performing arts schools in Didcot get involved.

In 2023, both Step in Time, and the Angels Performing Arts, both held collections amongst their dance students and families and together both dance schools helped to collect a fantastic 185 combined! Now that is razzling dazzling and show-stopping.
