2025 and what a year that was – Thank you from Play2Give

Published: 31st December 2025

THANK YOU 🫶

2025… 12 different charities and organisations supported, some special individuals and families most in need, around £8k worth of Christmas presents, over 1,700 Easter eggs, record breaking events, record breaking Easter and Christmas Appeals and over £20k donated out from funds raised to selected children, health, and disability causes including a further £7k to our local children’s hospital ❤️

Wow! It’s been another busy, another absolutely packed, and another successful year with many new records set along the way too, and all against some setbacks, obstacles and personal health challenges and some bereavements for some members of the team, but as ever we’ve continue to dedicate our commitment and time.

Whether it’s pounds raised or gifts and Easter eggs given out, each and every penny and every contribution such as a toy helps widely, all spreading cheer, joy, and smiles in doing so.

After another incredible year for us, we share how your support has helped benefit our local community…

We are delighted to share that 12 charities and organisations in total all benefited thanks to your generosity and support – funding some amazing projects at key healthcare beneficiaries alongside providing Easter eggs and gifts at Christmas, and, in the case of Oxford Children’s Hospital toys supplied throughout this year too.

Organisations benefiting from financial and material aid were:

Oxford Children’s Hospital part of Oxford Hospitals Charity
Oxford Head Injury Service – OHIS
Sobell House
SSNAP (Support for the Sick Newborn and their Parents)
Didcot Foodbank
Home-Start Oxford
Home-Start Southern Oxfordshire
Oxfordshire Foster Care Association
Be Free Young Carers
First Steps Baby Bank
Summerfield House, Abingdon
Wigod Way Wallingford Family Centre
Viking House, Oxford

From to our second and packed out Christmas Market at Milton Hill House and after heavy rain the sun even shone for us, our Oscars Ball raised over £6,000 and celebrated in style Andy’s £30,000 milestone total raised for Oxford Head Injury Services, our 14th football tournament in the summer on the most hottest day broke all records and raised over £7,300, our Christmas Party raised, before expenses over £1,000 – the highest ever total, we attended the Harwell Feast this May and raised over £650 on our Tombola, The Jones Robinson Group chose us as their Oxfordshire charity of the year who have been busy fundraising including a sponsored swim and a Halloween disco, to individuals sponsored marathons to head shaves, blue and white hair dyes and “Slim Shady” haircuts, and a record-breaking, biggest and best ever toy collection, and with Courtyard by Marriott Oxford South and RDProductions, we literally made it snow over the Courtyard at Milton Gate one November Thursday evening, 6 raffles and 3 tombolas, Easter bingo night, sell-out parties, bake sales, and being Fundraiser Finalists in BBC Oxford’s Make a Difference Awards – phew it hasn’t half been another incredible Play2Give year. And, together you have helped us to help others. Our good work also saw some of our volunteers nominated in the Didcot Town Council Awards with Harry winning the Young Fundraiser/Volunteer Award and Chris Coates winning Service with a Smile for bringing smiles as Didcot Santa.

We received donations from St Birinus School and £150 from Tesco Didcot, over £2k from Explosive Learning Solutions and Glastonbury Festivals Trust. Adopted as ChariTEA of the Year by Bird & Blend Tea Co. in Oxford and Didcot Sixth Form raised £246 with a Quiz Night thanks to Wallingford & Didcot Rotary whilst Didcot Events helped us organise November’s Christmas Market.

Your generosity means that the lives of so many from children and adults, including those with disabilities, those with illnesses, children, and families in hospital, to the vulnerable with brain injuries, terminal illnesses to young carers and many more have in ways been changed, transformed or saved for the greater good.

We say an enormous thank you!

We look forward to 2026 and the year ahead and continuing in changing, transforming, and saving lives across Oxfordshire.

We look forward to your continued wonderful support in 2026! ❤️
