22 years of fantastic cheque giving and receiving

Published: 21st May 2024

Over two decades of changing, transforming, and saving lives across Oxfordshire that has been Play2Give!

And, the funds all began rolling in when Andy wanted to raise just £500, whilst a schoolboy in Didcot in 2002, for the building of the Oxford Children’s Hospital aged 14, as a way to say “thank you” for saving his life, twice over at birth and again aged 12 with brain surgery.

Now over half of his lifetime and in 22 years of fundraising, we’ve given out plenty of gigantic cheques and received some amazing cheques from supporters and sponsors.
So many of these can be seen in our special reel showcasing it all in this montage video.

Enjoy, and to everyone who has contributed, supported, and donated to P2G over the past two decades, thank you so much. Together we are changing, transforming and saving lives locally and only able to do what we do thanks to the tremendous, inspiring and fantastic support of our community of Oxfordshire, and further afield, and sponsors, as well as our volunteers and trustees who work so hard all year round to make an enormous difference on the lives of others.

From Oxford Hospitals Charity to Oxford Head Injury Service – OHIS to Footsteps Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Oxford, SSNAP, Sobell House and so many more we’ve helped a wide plethora of county causes and provided funds local children in need with disabilities to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.

Thank you Oxfordshire, you are all #P2GHeroes ❤️❤️
