It is Volunteers Week 2023, an annual campaign which runs from 1st to 7th June recognising and celebrating volunteers all across the UK for their contributions to their communities and society.
Just two of our dedicated and long-standing volunteers that we are lucky to have part of our charity are Linda and Dave Latter, and they have been part of our team since 2016.
Come freezing cold, rain or shine, you will find them on many of our stalls in the public, preparing and ticketing prizes for tombolas, putting raffle prizes together, helping to organise parties, transportation, setting up and down at events and so much more.
They are just two of our valued helpers, who help to make our charity so successful, and helps us in our work in making an enormous difference on the lives of others.
They also have their own personal reasons for supporting our work, as their 15-year old disabled grandson has been treated by the Oxford Children’s Hospital since birth, so they know first hand just what the importance and difference of our fundraising makes to the hospital.
They was the first winners of our inaugural Angela Norris Play2Give Volunteers Award, presented at our gala ball in 2022, as seen proudly holding their trophy with Andy.
Last week they joined with Andy and other supporters and volunteers along with the hospital charity staff and play specialists to celebrate the landmark ÂŁ100k raised for the children hospital over the past 21 years.
So many fantastic pictures of Linda and Dave in action on stalls and at our events, we are delighted to have them a huge part of the team.
They absolutely love and breathe P2G, and it is clear from the above that they take our charity to their hearts constantly championing all that we do, and their immense hard work and effort never goes unappreciated.
