Saturday night we held our fifth Christmas Party and this year’s was the best one yet.
As well as a record four day sleigh drive in Tesco’s Didcot for our Christmas Toy and Gift Appeal collecting a record number of donations we also had a record breaking festive fundraising party, smashing all previous Christmas party records in terms of the funds raised.
This year’s festive bash was also a mini celebration for our milestone 15th anniversary year, and we went bigger than ever at the surroundings of The Barn Didcot, and attended by 100 people.
It was another sell out fundraising party as always, and once again we pulled out all the stops to make it the best one yet and another enjoyable family friendly event for all.
It certainly was the best on record as we raised a brilliant £551.00 through entry, raffle, balloon modelling donations, cakes and all things glitter.
Santa flew in at around 7.45pm to meet and greet all and very excited children with just a month until the big day however the bearded important man took take out of his busy schedule to pose for pictures and with little gifts for all the little children.
We had all the strikes of the poses in the selfie pod thanks to Pixxelboxx and the most spectacular looking backdrop to accompany the amazing balloon arch that Natalie did, thank you Nat!
It was a busy couple of hours set up in the afternoon for Linda, Dave and Leanne on our team but the room looked spectacular – and it sure felt very festive all round.
There was plenty of smiles, Christmas spirit and fun galore with some very entertaining party games (and the adults get even more competitive than the little ones including an amusing adults pass the parcel) and some delicious festive cup cakes.
A wonderful raffle and we celebrated our milestone 15th year in style.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out, attended, dug deep and donated, to all involved in the organisation, planning and preparation and on the night, and for our wonderful community for yet again getting behind our incredible little charity making a huge impact in changing, transforming and saving lives across Oxfordshire and beyond supporting a wide range of children, health and disability causes.
We have now raised over £17,000 this year in our big 15th year and our wholehearted thanks for all the heartwarming support we receive.
