Last week saw the annual Didcot Town Council awards take place, and what a night for Play2Give it was on Saturday.
We had some of our team attend representing our charity, joining the celebrations of local heroes who work hard in and around the town, and to support Andy for his Lifetime Achievement nomination. Andy was shortlisted for the Lifetime Achievement for his fantastic charity work over 20 years. Whilst Andy didn’t win, he was presented with a Special Recognition Award on the evening by the Mayor, Mocky Khan, and MP David Johnston.
We was thrilled beyond words and rather touched to have won an award for our fantastic work.
We was awarded the Community Champions award, alongside Indian Dream owner Hasnath Miah, in recognition of giving out free meals to those homeless and in need during Covid-19, and Courtney Hughes for her Christmas Secret Santa appeal.
