We never fail to be amazed by the extraordinary support our tiny charity receives and the lengths that individuals go to, to raise money and support our mission of changing, transforming, and saving lives locally
So, we are thrilled and delighted to see that one individual is really going above and beyond to fundraise towards our charity, by taking part in our annual charity football tournament next month, and taking on a sponsored endeavour personally to help raise funds.
On Sunday, July 13th, we are excited to host our 14th football tournament which will see businesses, groups and teams from other charities and friends come together to unite for their love of the sport on the pitches to take part in our annual contest which raises thousands each year for children, health and disability focused charities, incredible places like the Oxford Children’s Hospital, Sobell House and Oxford Head Injury Services amongst others.
Daniel Cadman who works at Explosive Learning Solutions Ltd in Harwell as a Co-ordinator, has signed up a team from the company – who has supported us now over several years by sponsoring and attending our annual gala ball – this year’s Oscars-themed event takes place on October 11th – and whose Director Cath Convery is a proud volunteer with us – to take part.
In doing so, and to help with the fundraising Dan is going one step further and has decided he will dye his hair if he reaches £100, in doing so at the target he will dye his hair in the company colours – we are sure Dan’s colleagues, friends, family and suppliers will get behind him and his amazing spirit and drive, so we hope he has the dye and toner on order as we’ve no doubt he’ll go on to achieve the target.
We never cease to be blown away by the incredible support and love our charity receives for all the good we do in our community so we are bowled over with the extraordinary lengths that Dan is going to personally to help to raise us as much quids as he can with the help of his Explosive Learning Solutions clan to benefit so many that P2G helps. Each and every penny and pound makes an enormous difference and enables us in our work in changing, transforming, and saving lives all year round through the impact our work and funds, alongside seasonal toy, gift and Easter egg campaigns, makes.

Our biggest of thanks and admiration and appreciation to Dan and all at ELS, and to all of our fabulous football teams who will be embracing their love of football to take on the gauntlet of the 6 a side and have fun on July 13th, where everyone including families and children are welcome. There will be on the side fun with inflatables, carnival glitter fairy, barbecue, bar, ice cream van, and a raffle and tombola. Our good friends and Oxfordshire Business Awards (OXBA) 2025 SME finalists Blue Blood will also be with us on the day.
We cannot wait to see your ‘hair-mendous’ transformation, which we’re sure you’ll achieve. Good luck to Dan, he is the the true definition of a P2G Hero.
