Over £380 raised this year by Didcot pub
The pennies and the pounds have now been counted and so today as we reach the end of 2024 we say an enormous thank you to the great and generous staff, especially landlady Tracey, punters and regulars of Broadways Public House in Didcot, who this year have been fantastically in fundraising for our charity.
Through various events and activities over the Easter weekend and with charity pots on the bar and selling our keyrings on the bar they have raised almost £381 for us as their charity of the year.
At the end of January, after receiving the most votes from a public Facebook vote, we were delighted to be chosen to be chosen as their charity for the year.
They held a bonzanza weekend over Easter to raise the funds starting with a 24-hour darts match, followed by a fun boogie bingo and games day.
Thanks to the kindness of staff and their regulars they also collected a cracking box full of Easter eggs for this as well to support our record-breaking 2024 Easter egg collection, which helped us in total to raise an eggscellent 1,300 plus Easter eggs!
The support has been great as they have helped to further increase our awareness amongst the town to all those who use the pub.
As 2024 draws to a close we thank Broadways once again enormously from the heart.
We are so lucky to have such tremendous support from the community from community groups and schools to individuals and companies in all that we do in changing, transforming, and saving lives across Oxfordshire, and the Broadways is a perfect example of this. 2024 has been another fantastic and busy year for us, and we’ve donated over £23k from our valiant fundraising efforts to various local causes from Oxford Children’s Hospital to Sobell House to Oxford Head Injury Services and to Footsteps and more and we couldn’t ever be more grateful as always.
