Didcot Event extraordinaire Jeanette wins lifetime achievement gong

Published: 19th March 2023

We are delighted to share the news that one of our supporters, and event partners, Jeanette Howse BEM, won the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s Didcot Town Council Awards, held last night.

Jeanette has organised events in the town for three decades, first with the traditional Christmas Street Fair, and her services to leisure and tourism which lead to a British Empire Medal (BEM) in the 2015 New Year Honours.

We, particularly Andy, have worked closely with Jeanette and the Didcot Events team for the past three years in co organising and running the Didcot Festive Market which has grown in size, and raised thousands for our charity in the process.

Jeanette’s dedication, hard work and commitment to Didcot is exemplary, and this Lifetime award is truly deserved, and in such a special milestone year for her and the Didcot Events team.

Andy was thrilled to attend the town awards and see Jeanette announced the winner, with three other fantastic shortlisted nominees.

Well done, Jeanette, we are over the moon for you. It has been a pleasure working with her so much over the years.

Councillor Mocky Khan presented Jeanette on stage with her award.
