Oxford Head Injury Service is one of our key health and disability causes that our tireless fundraising and work benefits all year round.
And, this year, our 10th anniversary Sleigh2Give appeal not only raised and provided over £500 worth in value of gifts including new board games, interactive games, paintbrushes, art sets, canvasses, sketch pads, memory games, kitchen baking sets, word searchers and activity books and more for the activity and rehabilitation centre based in Kennington, but through our milestone Sleigh2Give campaign, we were delighted to sponsor the Christmas activities and Christmas lunches so that all service users and their carers had fantastic Christmas festivities to enjoy.
OHIS has faced huge budget and funding cuts of recent times so our ongoing support and funds provided in such meaningful ways, such as over £3,408 raised from our 007 themed gala ball this year, enables us to keep on changing, transforming and helping ai the lives of brain injury survivors. Our latest donation from the ball alone also is helping to fund the upkeep of the specialist rehabilitation centre, including the neurological gym, which enables the recovery and improved lives of all those who are cared for and looked after by this very special organisation. Service users like Andy, who has benefited from OHIS’s support and care service for almost 13 years!
Our funding of the Christmas lunches and Christmas activities and all of the new gifts for the ARC was recognised and appreciated through special Sleigh2Give branded napkins, bunting and of course pictures. And this lovely video of one of the Christmas parties which really captures it all full of smiles and happy, jolly faces from the most amazing staff and volunteers who make such a difference in their work to impact adults living with disabilities.
Thank you to everyone who supports Play2Give all year round not just at Christmas, as you enable us to keep on making such donations and such life-affirming and transformative differences possible.
We hope of you reading this are all having a wonderful festive break with much appreciation and gratitude.
