Sleigh2Give 2025 Launches with First Donation to Be Free Young Carers

We’re thrilled to announce that our 2025 Sleigh2Give campaign is officially underway!

This week marked our first donation handover of the season, as our founder Andrew Baker MBE BCAv met with Finlay from Be Free Young Carers (BFYC) at Didcot Civic Hall to deliver a bundle of festive gifts worth around £160. These donations will help fulfil wish list items for BFYC’s Christmas Hampers, which will bring joy to 175 young carers across Oxfordshire this December.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, Play2Give was proud to contribute:

  • Mini colouring pencils and books
  • Socks and candy cane sweets
  • Positive affirmation games and uplifting quote cards

All items were purchased through funds raised via Sleigh2Give.

Giving back to BFYC holds deep personal meaning for Andrew, who was once a registered young carer with the charity (formerly South & Vale Carers), supporting his disabled mum. Through Sleigh2Give, we’re proud to continue spreading kindness and festive cheer to young carers navigating challenging times.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported the campaign so far, your kindness is already making a difference. This is just the beginning, and we’re excited to keep the momentum going as we work towards making Christmas brighter for even more families.

Stay tuned for more updates as Sleigh2Give 2025 continues!
