Wow what a day that was!
Close to £6k in the net too 🙌
After many months of planning, organising, late nights, long hours, stress, tears and tribulations, what a triumph our 13th charity football tournament was ✨️
Sunday saw us hit Wallingford Sports Park to host our annual footballing fest and what a great day!
Despite having to postpone the event by three weeks for bad weather, Sunday’s weather couldn’t of been more amazing. We were truly blessed with super sunshine 🌞 and a hot day, and by that it was literally hot all round.
Fourteen fabulous teams took to the pitches to battle it out, and a packed day with a great crowd coming down to support the day.
From local companies including Shaw Gibbs and ATA Logistics LTD both taking part for the first time to Milton Park, Oxfordshire-based Vertex to fellow local charity The Cornermen to squads of friends, a diverse range of teams came together to unite for the love of the beautiful game and with it lots of laughs and fun along the way helping to make this year’s tournament another match of the day
We are also delighted to announce that thanks to everyone’s generosity and kindness we also raised close to £6k, raising over £5,979 this year, pretty much matching on last year’s fundraising.
Congratulations to this year’s awardees ✨️

QWe would love to extend another great big thank you to all of this year’s teams and all who took part, to all those who officiated, helped, volunteered, our pro photographer Forever Captured Photography and to Sarah from Oxford Hospitals Charity, to those came along, dug deep, Radio Cherwell, bought raffle tickets, bid on the oufc signed shirt and so much more including sponsors Church Robinson, Blue Blood and danmundayhair and of course a big thank you to the Wallingford Sports Park for hosting us. They love this event and so much so they’d already the next day invited us back for next year 🙏
Even the ice cream man did so well that he also donated a fantastic £60 from takings at the end, so big thank you to Dave and John’s Whippy Didcot
Our thanks also to Oxfordshire FA and Berks & Bucks FA for their support.
After expenses we will be able to provide £5,395.42 back into the community to grant out to our beneficiaries including Oxford Children’s Hospital, Oxford Head Injury Service and many more that our funds and impact of the money we raise makes by an enormous and long-lasting difference touching the lives of so many, as our fantastic work and efforts do all year round.
We are already on another roll this year with lots of fantastic funds so car across the board and the year is still looking young with so many more fun, engaging and exciting events and activities to come.
P2G is all about changing, transforming, and saving lives locally and this latest effort and total from our 13th footy tournament really will do just this.
Once again thank you ❤️
Next year’s date has been earmarked so do mark Sunday July 13th 2025 in your calendars as our footy tournament will return for its 14th year. Team registrations will open early next year.
