Fourth Easter egg appeal cracks a new record total

Published: 27th March 2024

No yolking but it’s a new Easter Egg Appeal record for Play2Give!

Over 1,230 Easter eggs have been raised this year bringing plenty of joy to people in need 🐰🐣

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community of Oxfordshire, we’ve cracked it and only went and smashed our previous record of last year by doubling on our 600 plus number in 2023!

We are blown away by the immense generosity of our fabulous community from businesses to supermarkets to dance schools to pubs, cafes, gyms and more amongst many individuals who have all contributed to making our 2024 and 4th Easter Appeal the biggest, best and most special yet 💕

On Monday thanks to the eggstraordinary generosity our bunny with Andy delivered thousands of eggs to Oxfordshire’s healthcare institutions, helping to spread some cheer to those children in hospital and families and many more facing hardship and difficult times to make it a bit special 💞

Helen & Douglas House, Barnado’s Viking House, the neonatal care unit of the JR via SSNAP, Oxford Children’s Hospital (including the children’s ward at Banbury’s Horton Hospital) and Sobell House all received eggscellent chocolate delight to make life better at the most difficult of times, and we couldn’t of done without you all ❤️

Due to the overwhelming number of eggs we received from our biggest ever collection, with more donation points than ever before, we were also able to distribute eggs to local families in need through Didcot Foodbank and to Home-Start Southern Oxfordshire this week.

Once again, if you supported this appeal, thank you so much it is beyond words incredible and we are egged over by your kindness and love 🫶

Thank you for making a difference with P2G. We know how much these Easter eggs and chocolate treats will mean to all who receive them, as was seen by the hospitals and hospices on Monday’s big delivery day

Meanwhile, our bunny is fast asleep and resting ahead of his big weekend.
