An astounding amount of money was raised by our sixth fundraising party last month that today (17th May) it was presented to Headway Oxfordshire – making the charity’s day – and hundreds of brain injury survivors who rely enormously on the vital service that the organisation provides.
The evening raised a record breaking £846.40 – the most that any of our parties have ever raised in history – and with the proceeds raised from our football match back in March – which raised £78.66 for both Headway and the John Radcliffe Children’s Hospital – Andy today handed over the grand cheque to the brain injury support charity in Kennington totalling £925.06. This is P2G’s biggest single cheque ever donated to date!
At the party last month, hosted by Didcot Football Club and sponsored by Tom Houseman Heating and Plumbing, we awarded Headway Oxfordshire with a framed certificate for Charity of the Year 2015/16 (which Charlie Hayes, events & publicity officer for the charity, is pictured holding, left of Andy). The football match, held on a very cold Saturday afternoon in March at Oxford City Football Club, saw the Headway Heroes team beat P2G Stars 4-3.
Our next event for Headway is our annual football tournament on July 3rd, at Oxford City Football Club, and of which the Children’s Hospital will also benefit from all proceeds raised. This 6 a side adults contest is open to mens and mixed adults teams, and entries are open. More details about the football tournament
