Hungry Horse Finn raises £685 with New Eminem-inspired Haircut

At Play2Give, we never fail to be blown away at the amazing efforts that supporters go to to raise funds for our tiny charity. And, this includes individuals, individuals like Finn Bliss

Finn of Wantage is the captain of the Hungry Horses football team, who this summer took part in our 14th charity football tournament held on July 13th – one of the hottest days of this summer and definitely the hottest in temperature our event has ever seen.

The Hungry Horses assembled, giddyed up, and neighed on down to the footballing fiesta at Wallingford Sports Park, amongst 18 teams who competed for the sizzling spectacular.

And, to raise money for the charity, Finn went one step further in their fundraising efforts and literally went for a big transformation by losing his trademark floppy dark locks to sport a ‘slim shady’ trim, a cool new look after a target of £500 he set to shave his head at the goal. His teammates, Finn’s family and friends, rallied behind the idea and trotted in an incredible total of £685 plus gift aid.

To show our appreciation, our el captain of the P2G ship Andy met with the real Slim Shady himself, along with Finn’s best friend Finlay – who was responsible for altering the Hungry Horses to our 6 a side competition – to present Finn or ala Wantage’s Eminem with a certificate of appreciation and a medal for being a P2G Hero.

We think Finn is a hero for not only raising such a tremendous total in his hair-terrific effort but also sporting a cool peroxide doo, that suits him so well – and a hairdo that even Andy himself was envious of!

Well done and congratulations Finn and to all of the Hungry Horses squad and all of this years fantastic and charitable spirited football teams for embracing the event and helping us to raise a record £7.3k plus from this years very best match of the day in history.

We think all of our supporters are P2G Heroes and we are immensely grateful to each and every one whether businesses, individuals, schools, pubs, supermarkets or groups and more for all helping take our mission to heart in changing, transforming and saving lives locally.
