Do you eat, sleep and breathe the beautiful game of football? Would you love to have a kick about whilst raising money for charity?
Then join us on this summer as our popular football tournament will be back at Wallingford Sports Park for our 6 a side contest and all to raise money for children, health and disability causes right here on our doorstep in Oxfordshire.
Sunday 9th July will see our 12th football tournament come back with a good kick off to score plenty of goals, and make a big difference on local people’s lives at the same time.
Oxford Children’s Hospital, Headway, Helen & Douglas House and SSNAP are the charities expected to receive a slice of funds from what is set to be a brilliant match of the day.
The event that started life off for us as a charity over 15 years ago, born September 2007, will return for another fantastic fundraising contest, and our 2022 champions, ADT Decorating, will be keen to retain hold of The Paediatric Eye Fund P2G Cup, for another victorious lift to glory.
Last year’s event, which came back after a five-year break, saw 16 teams compete with squads including boxers, army squadrons, barbers, teams of friends, office workers and even bereaved dads and a team of Didcot dads and of course our very own P2G Heroes FC.
Our football tournaments over the years have netted in superb sums of money in the region of around ÂŁ40,500 for local causes, including young hospital patients and to support adults living with brain injuries through Headway locally.
Team registrations are now open and close no later than June 29th.
