Best Community Group in Oxfordshire Award Finalists

We are thrilled to share some amazing news that we are beyond words proud to share.

We recently found out that we have been nominated in this year’s BBC Radio Oxford Make a Difference Awards.

Not only have we been nominated for a second year, but we have been shortlisted and are delighted to announce that we are one of four finalists in the ‘Community Group’ category of this year’s BBC awards, which shines a spotlight on the superstars in our communities.

The BBC Oxford Make a Difference Awards are a chance to say “thank you” and show recognition and appreciation for people who love to make life better for others, which we do every day in changing, transforming and saving lives across Oxfordshire.

Local heroes from across the region will be celebrated at this year’s glitzy awards ceremony which takes place at the Kassam Stadium, home of Oxford United Football Club, on September 28th – two days before our fourth gala ball.

The Community Group Award is given to a group of people who have helped to genuinely change the lives of others within the community, which we have been doing now for almost 16 years.

We are excited and humbled to have been nominated and to make the final four in these awards. Last year we was nominated in the final four for the ‘Fundraiser’ award, which was won by husband-and-wife Paul and Siobhan Masters (Running for the Boys) who raised thousands of pounds for causes including Oxford Hospitals Charity, SSNAP and Helen & Douglas House in memory of their twin baby boys, who they sadly lost.

A huge thank you from us to those who nominated us, and to those who continually support our work and mission in changing, transforming, and saving lives locally and beyond helping and supporting us in making a huge difference with an enormous impact on the lives of others.

Your ongoing support to us means so much, and it is only thanks to our wonderful community and volunteers that we are able to keep on doing what we do, and we are always appreciative of our incredible teak who go above and beyond every day to make our tiny charity so special.

Please keep your fingers crossed for us for the big night at the end of September, this nomination is a true testament and dedicated to all of our volunteers and supporters.
