Thanks to your support, your donations and your participation in our fundraising events and activities such as stalls at public events, you have helped us raise thousands more pounds this year for our local children’s hospital.
In 2024 alone we have given £16,722.50 from our funds to Oxford Hospitals Charity in support of our very special children’s hospital.
We have long supported the Oxford Children’s Hospital since we was born over two decades ago, and, to date we have given over £116,818 since we first began fundraising when the hospital was first thought of and just a hole in the ground – and it all began with £1,000 Andy raised whilst a year 10 school pupil with a non school uniform day at St Birinus School.
In March 2017 we formally unveiled ‘The Play2Give Room’ with a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark us raising over £40k. Our sponsored room is based on the teenage Melanie’s Ward, which treats teenage patients facing long term stays, and always remains one of our proudest achievements as a group.
In 2023 we raised the most ever for a single year worth of fundraising for the Children’s Hospital, which is reflected in this year’s grand total.
Thanks to all of you, who continually support our charity’s fantastic work and efforts in organising a wide range of events and activities including tombolas, raffles and bake sales to football tournaments, gala balls, teams in the OX5RUN, summer fun days and more, we are able and excited to be funding two special projects for the hospital.
Our £15k is confirmed to be funding a brand new and much needed Echo probe at £6.3k for childrens cardiac care and a refurbishment of Melanie’s Ward with a fabulous artwork project which will brighten the stays of young lives for years to come.
This Christmas we was able to provide thousands of toys for young patients spending the festive season in hospital through donations raised from our tenth anniversary Sleigh2Give appeal and in April we delivered hundreds of Easter eggs, from our annual Easter egg collection.
The community love and support that we continue to receive at our tiny charity in changing, transforming, and saving lives locally really is helping to do just all of this at our local children’s hospital, and we couldn’t of done it all and raising over £116,800 since 2002 without your help!
Thank you and we look forward to another fantastic year of tremendous fundraising to benefit so many in our community in 2025.
