Next weekend it is the Didcot Town Council Awards 2025 – and we are delighted that some of our volunteers are recognised!
We send our good luck to everyone who was nominated – and to be shortlisted in so many categories is a great achievement, especially as this year the town council saw more nominations and more shortlisted than ever before!
We at Play2Give are particularly keeping our fingers and toes crossed and good luck to our very own Leanne Coates who is in for Unsung Hero alongside Lewis Manning, one of our supporters and volunteers who has been recognised for his fundraising last year, for us. This will be a tough category as there are six incredible nominees, including one of our supporters, Andrea Warren. This July, 21-year-old Lewis (or now known as our Easter carrot) is also embarking on an epic 107-mile bike ride from Chinnor in Oxfordshire to Dorset in an aim to pedal in £500 for us, as well as plans to help organise other events including a darts event – with his love of the sport.
Andy has been nominated for a second year running for both the Lifetime Achievement award and for the John Eldridge Award for Voluntary Service, a category he has been six-times nominated in, and as of yet in his 24-year history has yet to win.
There are so many fantastic individuals, groups and businesses being recognised – and we send all the nominees the very best of luck for the awards night when all this year’s winners will be announced.
