Didcot Town Council Award Nominations

Congratulations to our founder Andy Baker and to our youngest volunteer and St Birinus School pupil Harry Williams on their well-deserved nominations in the Didcot Town Council Awards 2024/25.

Andy has been nominated for another year in the John Eldridge Award for Voluntary Service and has also been shortlisted in the Lifetime Achievement Award, whilst Harry is nominated in the Young Volunteer/Charity Fundraiser category for being a wonderful, kind and helpful young volunteer of the charity.

Andy, who has just reached another milestone in his charitable giving – this time smashing £30,000 raised in a decade for Oxford Head Injury Services, is yet to be a winner of the John Eldridge Award which is given by the town council each year to those who have diligently served the local community through volunteering and is presented to an outstanding individual or group. His lifetime achievement nomination is for his two decades of charity work.

Congratulations to both Andy and Harry and to all of this year’s nominees.  The awards evening hosted by the town’s mayor, Cllr Andrew Jones, takes place on March 15th when the winners in all categories will be announced.
