Today we made our annual visit to the Didcot Foodbank to provide new toys and gifts for the families, as part of our tenth anniversary Sleigh2Give Appeal.
Thanks to all the amazing donations we have received for this year’s campaign from community and supporters we were able to take hundreds of presents so that children of low income and families in crisis don’t go without the joy of a toy this Christmas.
All of these donations are only possible thanks to the amazing support that our annual Sleigh2Give drive receives each year, and this year’s milestone 2024 collection looks set to be a new record with the most toys than ever raised.
It was quite a tough one to do and quite tear-jerking at times, especially as we got told that we made one family in particular’s day and she was so touched she was crying with joy, for the gifts for her children, which is always joyous and heartwarming to hear. It also made Andy well up. Our thanks to Linda and Dave as well as Emma for going along, representing us and helping.
We also received hundreds more amazing donations from two Didcot schools, some companies and a gym, and once again our thanks go to everyone who has donated so generously, each and every toy and gift is so hugely appreciated and all helps to make this season of spreading cheer, joy, and smiles far and wide so special and in such a special Sleigh2Give anniversary year.
