2022 Review of the year – October

Published: 15th January 2023

2022 was another busy and packed year for us and it was also our best ever year yet in terms of the funds we raised surpassing any previous year.
Over £22,000 was raised overall and with charities from our local children’s hospital to Sobell House to Headway and many others all benefited from the kindness and generosity of our community.
Now, we are looking back at some of the highlights of our milestone fifteenth anniversary year.
A ghoulishly good time was had by all at our second and best Halloween Party. It was a hauntingly good lot of fun and everyone who attended embraced into the spooktacular spirit of the occasion.
There was an amazing array of ghastly fancy dress and creative makeup, spine-tingling good games played and a freakishly fantastic raffle. The event was held at The Marlborough in Didcot and a record £755 was raised for our charity, which was a fang-tastic result beyond our expectations smashing the total we raised from the previous year’s event. Our wonderful friends Utopia Disco
provided the tunes and really made the event pop, and even a ghostbuster was in town to zap all the ghoulies away.
In the same month, and just a few days later, we held our second rock ‘n’ roll bingo night of the year thanks to Boundary Park in Didcot, raising over £345!
The date is set for our Halloween-fest this year, so do save the date for our most spooktacular event of the year, as this year’s Halloween Party will take place on the evening of Friday, October 27th (half term) again at The Marlborough Club.
Thank you to all of our wonderful supporters and to all of our community who get behind our charity and helping us in changing, transforming and saving lives across Oxfordshire and beyond.
It is only thanks to the incredible support we receive that we are able to do what we do in making an enormous difference and impact on the lives of others.
