A cracking raffle is currently running and you would be eggs-tremely silly not to support it!
Thanks to our friend Lee Crook who works at Sainsbury’s Didcot he has organised an Easter raffle to raise funds for the Oxford Children’s Hospital – a charity we have supported since our creation in 2007 and of which we have raised £36,414 towards over the past 8 years.
Lee has been extremely fortunate to secure the donation of 19 chocolate Easter eggs for this yolking great idea which will see the draw for this mega raffle happen on March 23rd. The store itself has supported this eggs-scellent initiative by donating 9 eggs.
Play2Give has a commit to raising a grand £40,000 for the Oxford Children’s Hospital in order to enable us as a fundraising organisation to have our very own named room on the teenage ward of the hospital. We are just £3,585.25 away from achieving this very special target that, once complete, The Play2Give Room will become a long lasting vision of reality on the Melanie’s Ward – which is where one of our fellow team members Dale Harris’s daughter Mya, now 13, will spend a large amount of her time on through her medical procedures and treatment going forward.
Lee has been a wonderful supporter to Play2Give since late 2014 when he learnt of us through the supermarket choosing P2G as their charity of the year during 2014-2015. Lee has done Movember, to a 1000km sponsored walk over 10 weeks and walked six hours from Didcot to the Children’s Hospital dressed as Santa with a sack full of gifts all to raise funds accumulating over £1,000.
