Shortlisted in the Didcot Town Awards 2023

With just about a month to go we are excited for the 2023 Didcot Town Council Awards next month.

Every year the Didcot Town Community Awards are held to celebrate and recognise outstanding individuals, groups and charities making a difference in and for the town.

We were delighted and surprised with a letter just before last Christmas to inform us that we had been nominated for this year’s awards.

We are in contention for the “John Eldridge Award for Voluntary Service” and we are hugely humbled and proud to be celebrated for all of our fantastic work in changing, transforming, and saving lives locally and across 2 decades.

We are up against some fantastic nominees.

2023 saw us have our biggest and best year ever as a local charity with our dedicated and hard working team of volunteers making a difference to enrich the lives of those in our community from children and families in hospital, to adults living with brain injuries to many more.

We held a packed year of diverse, fun and engaging events from our 12th football tournament to our record breaking great gatsby ball, to our belated 15th Birthday Party on the Park, record breaking Sleigh2Give Christmas and Easter Appeals, 2 record breaking fundraising parties, numerous tombolas, raffles and more.

Reaching a lifetime total of £100k raised for Oxford Children’s Hospital in April and our biggest ever team in the Oxford Hospitals Charity OX5 RUN. And so so much more!

2023 sure was our biggest year yet and was such a special year reaching an incredible milestone for the children’s hospital that means so much to us.

Thanks to the fantastic support from our local community, we raised our biggest ever total that will be donated this year to the Children’s Hospital to fund a project to go on to benefit young patients for many years to come, and more on this will be announced soon.

Thanks to our fantastic community, supporters, corporate partners, volunteers and trustees, we are able to say “thank you” and for helping us do what we do.

Thank you to all those who nominated us for this year’s Didcot Town awards and we look forward to the evening hosted by the Didcot Mayor with entertainment on March 16th.
