Sleigh2Give 11 supporting SSNAP

Published: 29th October 2025

Our 11th Sleigh2Give Christmas Appeal is well underway.

Many of our Didcot donation points including Berro Lounge, No.33 on Great Western Park, Coronet Bingo on the Broadway and the Cornerstone Arts Centre have gone live with our boxes for donations of all new toys and gifts this year’s campaign.

Each year the neonatal care unit at the JR Hospital in Oxford is one of our selected healthcare beneficiaries, and through the special SSNAP (Support for the Sick Newborn and their Parents) charity, we provide a range of gifts for siblings and new mums and dads as well as items such as a puzzle and activity book and colouring mindfulness sets for the family rooms as well as the simple box of sweet treats like chocolates and biscuits which also brings joy to the incredible neonatal NHS staff.

SSNAP which supports the neonatal unit of sick and premature babies – and our Andy was a SCBU baby and survivor so supporting the unit means so much personally to him – has received Sleigh2Give donations for many years, as well as year round funds and Easter eggs each spring. Our delivery with Didcot Santa, with a helping hand from our friends Driving Miss Daisy Didcot with transportation and vehicle support, will take place on December 19th, alongside the children’s hospital, Sobell House and Viking House, as the finale to this year’s campaign.

Sleigh2Give is all about spreading cheer, joy and smiles at Christmas each year to those less fortunate, in need, the vulnerable and of course our amazing Oxford Children’s Hospital and hospices like Sobell House, and is now in its 12th festive drive.

Our donation box will also soon be out at the Didcot Civic Hall, and The Works in the Orchard Centre will also be collecting in store.

For more information about this appeal, hundreds of heartwarming pictures from over a decade of gift giving and toy runs, or details of how to get involved such as collections or to reach out and be a public drop off point, please visit our dedicated webpage which also carries a contact form.

Together with your help, our fantastic community and public, we can brighten a thousand faces this Christmas with the simple joy of a toy or gift that makes all the difference at the most difficult, toughest and challenging times

Thank you as always for all of the amazing support and kind hearted generosity that we receive, not just at Christmas, but all year round in changing, transforming, and saving lives across Oxfordshire.
