We are pleased to announce that Play2Give (P2G) is now a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).
As of today, 13 September 2022, P2G will have a new charity number (which is 1200351) but our bank account details and other online donation channels will remain the same, whilst we are in the process of registering with Justgiving.
The benefit of now becoming a CIO is that it provides a better legal framework for our charity providing greater protection for our Trustees, volunteers and the charities that we support.
Apart from the change with being awarded a charity registration number nothing else will change. Everything else will continue as before. Our charitable objects remain the same. Supporters will automatically become supporters of the new one. The new CIO will retain the name Play2Give (or P2G for short) to and will, at the end of each financial year, file our annual return and accounts to the Charity Commission for greater transpency to the public and new potential donors.
