Charity 5K Santa Run is coming to Milton Park, Oxfordshire

Published: 18th October 2017

Soll Leisure and Milton Park are partnering to bring some festive cheer this Christmas through a 5K charity Santa Run, held on Friday 8th December, 2017. The event starts at 12:30 from outside the Park Club Milton gym and is open to all abilities with everyone able to take part, by running, jogging or walking the route.

We are encouraging all participants to dust off their Christmas hats and join us to raise money for two local charities Play2Give and MS Therapy Oxfordshire. The event is a great way to get into the festive spirit and most importantly have fun! There will be prizes available for fastest man and women, as well as best Christmas jumper / outfit.

The event requires a £5 donation, with all proceeds going to our nominated charities. MS Therapy Oxfordshire provides affordable and accessible complementary therapies, often not available on the NHS, as well as information and support, to those with MS. Play2Give is a Didcot based fundraising organisation raising funds for Oxford Children’s Hospital & Headway Oxfordshire.

Richard Claydon, Community Development Manager for Soll Leisure commented, “We are excited to be holding our first Santa Run event and raising money for two great causes. We want to encourage all abilities and fitness levels to come along and take part. The event is a great way to get moving, challenge yourself and get into the Christmas spirit.
