Willowbrook Leisure Centre in Didcot, Oxfordshire, has announced that it is hosting a Charity Spinathon on Saturday 19th September to raise money for local charity group, Play2Give.
The centre is operated by charitable leisure management company Soll Leisure, and all of the community are invited get active to help raise money for a great cause.
The spin sessions will start at 9:30am and run until 3:30pm, consisting of 6 hour blocks of spinning. Participants can pay for individual sessions at £5 or for all 6 at £25, with all proceeds going to charity. There will also be a raffle, face paints, cake sale and bouncy castle providing something for everyone in the local community.
Play2Give is a local volunteer-run fundraising organisation based in Oxfordshire raising funds for the Oxford Children’s Hospital, John Radcliffe Paediatric Eye Fund and brain injury charity, Headway Oxfordshire. Andrew Baker of Didcot setup Play2Give in 2007 and he is delighted to see another event taking place supporting his organisation, “we are all really excited about the Spinathon, and it will be great to see everyone come together to support local charities. Play2Give would like to thank everyone who comes along and takes part in the Spinathon and of course to Willowbrook for their fantastic support”.
Community Development Manager for Soll Leisure, Richard Claydon, commented “It is great that Soll Leisure can support local charities through events like the Spinathon, we hope that lots of people join us to get active and raise money to support local charities.”
