🎅 Our 9th Sleigh2Give Christmas Toy & gift Appeal has launched Click for details
Thames Valley Charity of the Year 2020
Sleigh2Give 9
- And it has launched – our ninth Christmas appeal is here!
Sleigh2Give in 2022 was another hugely successful Christmas appeal with a record number of gift generosity across the county. Once again our wonderful community got behind our eighth annual drive and helped us to amass thousands of Christmas presents helping us to spread cheer, joy and smiles in abundance to others less fortunate within Oxfordshire but also further afield into Wiltshire and Berkshire.
This year we are doing it all over again, and we need your help!

Spreading cheer, joy and smiles every Christmas
Each year Sleigh2Give – our festive arm – provides presents to poorly children in hospital, low income families in Didcot, those with disabilities and the vulnerable.
In 2022, we raised around £50k worth in value of gifts which was given out to a wide number of organisations and to families and children financially struggling – and our 15th birthday Sleigh2Give appeal surpassed all previous years, as by the end of November our storage shed was overbrimming with the wonderful donations from our amazing supporters.
Can you help us this year in 2023 to do the same and bring lots of cheer, joy and smiles once again to brighten a thousand Christmases?
Over 1,300 presents to children and families in hospital, the vulnerable and those less well off
From Home-Start in Oxford and its Southern branch in Didcot, to some financially struggling families to our yearly recipients of children, siblings and families in hospital, neonatal care and in hospices, and disability centres including Thomley, Viking House and Oxford Head Injury Services also received an elfy dose of generosity. Last year, due to the overwhelming number of donations we also branched out and delivered the joy to children’s wards at Royal Berkshire Hospital and families in crisis in Swindon.
Oxford Children's Hospital
Young patients receive donations of all new toys and gifts to make their stay in hospital more magical and brighter while going through some of the toughest times. In 2022 through the generosity of the community and with funds raised we was able to provide 100 selection boxes, Lynx sets, bubble wands, play doh sets, fleece blankets and Usborne story books as requested by the hospital play team, along with toys including Lego. Since the first Christmas collection in 2015 we have amassed thousands of donations for the bravest of young hospital patients and their siblings. In 2020 and 2021 we donated £1,913 in funds to the hospital’s ‘give a gift’ appeal.
A helping hand from Driving Miss Daisy Didcot
Director of Driving Miss Daisy Didcot, Zororo Mubaya, helped to deliver our gifts to our three Oxford healthcare institutions in 2022. Driving Miss Daisy Didcot adopted us as their charity partner in early 2021, and as part of their sponsorship they kindly provided transportation of Santa, Elf Andy and hundreds of gifts to Oxford Children’s Hospital, Helen & Douglas House and the neonatal care unit at the JR in their seven-seater minibus on a bitterly cold freezing Friday.
