Played at our licence to thrill 007-themed charity ball at the end of September, this latest thank you video comes from Oxford Hospitals Charity for another year of fantastic support across 2024 in our fundraising for the Oxford Children’s Hospital on the back of raising over £16,000 across 2023.

22 years of fantastic cheque giving and receiving!

In 22 years of fundraising, we’ve given out plenty of gigantic cheques and received some amazing cheques from supporters and sponsors.

So many of these can be seen in our special reel showcasing it all in this montage video. Enjoy, and to everyone who has contributed, supported, and donated to P2G over the past two decades, thank you so much.

Together we are changing, transforming and saving lives locally and only able to do what we do thanks to the tremendous, inspiring and fantastic support of our community of Oxfordshire, and further afield, and sponsors, as well as our volunteers and trustees who work so hard all year round to make an enormous difference on the lives of others.

Oxford Children's Hospital's £100k Tribute to Play2Give

Oxford Hospitals Charity paid a special tribute to our charity at our great gatsby ball with this emotive and special video. Held at the end of September 2023, the gala occasion not only raised more funds for the Oxford Children’s Hospital, but, also celebrated our achievement in raising a landmark lifetime total of over £100k raised across 21 years. The video was played at the ball, which also included a special big signed card, as well as a 100k cake and an inspiring and heartwarming speech from David Child, community fundraising manager. OHC was hugely involved in helping to jointly mark the ball as the big celebration for the milestone total.

The Angela Norris Play2Give Volunteer Award 2023

The nominees for the 2023 Angela Norris Play2Give Award were announced at our great gatsby ball. Tremendous nominations once again of volunteers or supporters going above and beyond for the charity. The 2023 winner was Leanne Coates.

15th Birthday Party on the Park

After being postponed in September 2022 after the death of our late Queen Elizabeth II, we finally held our belated 15th Birthday Party on the Park on 12th August 2023. A fantastic family fun day at Didcot’s Boundary Park with music by night to celebrate 15 amazing years of our charity.

20 years of support for the Oxford Children's Hospital

Oxford Hospitals Charity produced a short video to commemorate and celebrate Andy’s twenty years in fundraising for the Oxford Children’s Hospital, a milestone he officially reached in February 2022. The video was debuted and played at our Hollywood themed gala ball in March.

The Angela Norris Play2Give Volunteer Award 2022

Congratulations to all of the amazing volunteers or supporters nominated for the very first inaugural Angela Norris Play2Give Award. The shortlisted nominees were presented and celebrated for going above and beyond for our charity at our Hollywood-themed gala Ball in March 2022. The first winners this year was David and Linda Latter in recognition of their six years of dedicated volunteering for our charity. This Award is given and named in memory of a late supporter, Angela, who sadly passed away in November 2020 but remains at the heart of Play2Give

Danceathon 2022

We teamed up with the Angels Performing Arts School in Didcot to bring our fourth danceathon to life, in May 2022, raising over £2,760, for P2G causes and for the Angels very own Off the Streets fund. Thank you to Clarity Video for filming and producing this short film, showcasing the three-hour long event, which was held at The Marlborough in Didcot.

Didcot Festive Fun Run 2021

Local Heroes - Play2Give - Volunteers' Week

We was included as one of our local MP David Johnson’s Local Heroes as part of National Volunteers Week 2020, celebrating some of the incredible volunteers from across David’s constituency.

Andrew Baker - Pride of Britain Nominee

Andy Baker was one of four finalists in contention for the “ITV Fundraiser of the Year” in the ITV Meridian region in September 2019 as part of the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards. Andy was the first finalist in the region featured for his nomination on September 30th 2019, and was one of the proud runners-up.

We was proud to be one of three finalists in The Oxford Times Charity & Community Award, and this video was showcased to all of the awards ceremony guests, as part of an exciting live audience vote.
