What a night it was with our first music bingo of this year and new records set, and in the same week that saw us deliver and distribute a record 600 plus Easter eggs raised by our community to children and families in hospital, hospices, the vulnerable and those less fortunate.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support and take part at our first Rock and Roll Bingo Night of this year and with it helping us to smash all records all round.
Thursday evening (7th April) saw a packed room, in the function room at Boundary Park in Didcot, with 74 in attendance, playing our first music bingo of 2023 and once again it was fantastic to see everyone having lots of fun, and a good time and a good social evening.
In total, we raised an incredible ÂŁ756.30 for our charity!
This is the most amount of money and the most numbers of people that our rock and roll bingo nights have ever raised and seen, and they have been running now since 2018.
We are incredibly thankful to each and every person who came along, to play and to enjoy an evening out as a way to start the Easter weekend.
Our biggest of thanks go to all those who also participated on our guess the eggs in the jar game and our mini quick auction to end the night.
Our hugest of thanks as always go to the brilliant Boundary Park for hosting these events and providing such great hospitality, the amazing bar staff who worked hard all night to serve up drinks and snacks and for taking part, to our very own Linda and Dave for all their help in preparation and to DJ Blinga for playing host with the most, being his usual fantastic Northern self and for donating his time.
We couldn’t be more chuffed of a record-breaking night.
We are absolutely astounded by the grand total raised and by the numbers who turned out, it will certainly be remembered and we now look forward to our next rock and roll bingo night which is scheduled for October 19th, 2023.
The money raised through entrance fees, the eggs in the jar and the auction, will as always make an incredible difference to our charity helping us in our work so that we can continue to help our community through changing, transforming and saving lives for local children. health and disability causes and people in need that we work to support and help.
We never fail to be amazed by the wonderful generosity, love, appreciation and support that we receive from our community. We may be biased but we really do have the best team of volunteers and the very best supporters.
So, once again, an enormous big thank you to all of last night’s attendees and to everyone who helped make it possible and happen, and for enabling us to do our great work to make an enormous difference to the lives of others.
All that remains is to wish everyone a very happy, peaceful and lovely joyful Easter.
